Novex Innovations was established as a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) to support the growth and development of startups to small and medium sized companies. Novex fills a niche that is currently underserved in the areas of process development, regulatory support, and drive to commercialization.

President

As founder and President of Novex, Jerry Barker is involved in all aspects of the organization. An entrepreneur with years of experience launching and managing successful start-ups, Jerry is recognized for his integrity and strong strategic and tactical leadership.

During his career, Jerry has gained over 20 years of biologics laboratory experience and technical expertise.  He has deep and varied experience in medical device design, development and commercialization.  His expertise spans strategy, commercialization, business development and market access.  As a seasoned entrepreneur across a variety of industries his insights and perspectives are invaluable to the success and growth of our customer’s organizations.

Chief Operating Officer

Doug Drabble is Novex’s Chief Operating Officer. In this role he leads a team of multidisciplinary scientists and professionals supporting the development, production, manufacturing, and commercialization services Novex provides to our customers.

Doug is recognized for over 30 years of global pharmaceutical and industrial related work experience and consulting in research, process development, scale-up manufacturing, commercial manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory pathways and engineering.  Doug is responsible for ensuring our customer goals become a reality with the delivery of innovative solutions in patient care.

Jared Johnson, Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Jared Johnson is responsible for supporting the company in all its internal and external financial reporting. Jared has over 18 years of experience in accounting and finance as a Certified Public Accountant working closely with a variety of businesses across several industries. His diverse experience strengthens his understanding of business finance which benefits Novex and its stakeholders.

Brandi Shanahan

Brandi Shanahan

Regulatory and Quality
Assurance Director

Brandi Shanahan has nearly two decades of life science industry experience and has spent the last seven years leading quality programs, regulatory strategy, process improvement, process validation, auditing and gap assessments, risk management, and regulatory inspection preparation, facilitation, and remediation. 

Brandi is a Navy veteran and during her time in the Navy, she gained extensive experience in microbiology and immunohematology along with years of direct patient care.  Prior to joining Novex, Brandi worked in laboratory management for a nationally ranked health system in southeast with more than 1,400 care locations.

As Regulatory and Quality Assurance Director for Novex, Brandi leverages her background in quality and regulatory compliance to ensure that client processes, projects and solutions are technically sound and compliant with all current regulations.

Kashif Haque

Business Development Director

Kashif Haque works as the Director of Business Development at Novex. In his role, Kashif is a key point of contact for new business development and project inquiries.

Kashif is recognized for over 20 years of technology commercialization related work experience across federal, state and academic levels. Kashif has extensive experience in working with early-stage researchers and entrepreneurs in translating clinical and scientific observations and ideas into viable products, solutions and services. Kashif has clinical and medical training as well as a Masters in Biotechnology and an MBA specializing in healthcare management – his is uniquely qualified to partner with customers to help commercialize their innovations.
